Gasket Mount
The PCB and plate float on silicone gaskets instead of being screwed to the case. This isolates the typing surface, letting vibrations dissipate into a deeper, more resonant sound — plus a slight, satisfying flex.

Thocky Sound Profile
Deep & Resonant
How Thocky Works
Impact: High
The PCB and plate float on silicone gaskets instead of being screwed to the case. This isolates the typing surface, letting vibrations dissipate into a deeper, more resonant sound — plus a slight, satisfying flex.
Impact: High
PBT is a denser, harder plastic than ABS. That density produces a lower-pitched, more resonant sound on impact. If you want thocky, PBT is non-negotiable — the single most audible material choice.
Impact: Medium–High
Two to three layers of foam absorb the high-frequency rattle and ping that make cheap keyboards sound tinny. What's left is a clean, deep fundamental tone — pure thock.
Impact: Medium
Pre-lubed linears glide with no friction noise. The result is a clean, uninterrupted bottom-out — all you hear is that satisfying deep thock with no distraction on the way down.
Find Your Sound
All loudness values measured under ESS-2026 protocol at the typist's ear, average sustained typing at 60 WPM. Variance ±2 dB.
Sound & Typing Experience
Recorded in EPOMAKER Sound Lab with calibrated microphones. The same method we use to tune every product.

Thocky comes from dense keycaps, a gasket-mounted plate and layered dampening that lower the pitch of every bottom-out — no modifications needed.
