Split 65

Love the keyboard. The Split-Design works wonderfully for me when typing longer texts. magnets hold the two parts together, so I get a normal keyboard, which is good for gaming and coding. I'd love to see the same design with another row for the f-keys. Also I equipped mine with blank keycaps, which was hard to get (Alice-Cherry-Set ist almost imposible to find) and also not cheap. Would have been nice to order it with blank caps.

I was considering the Split 70 but I'm glad I waited a little longer to get the Split 65. By all accounts, it's the better choice, and I was not disappointed. It was easy to set up, fairly straightforward to customise with VIA, and with a good number of keys in still a compact form factor, a joy to use.

In particular, having a second spacebar and mapping that to Fn1 on hold (switch to layer 1) and still the space key if pressed/tapped has opened up a whole range of additional mappings that are very easy to reach and trigger (e.g. Fn1 + H/J/K/L for arrows).

The keyboard is very well built, sounds pretty good, and has been very reliable and consistent so far, even while constantly switching between two computers (Mac and Linux).

Honestly, couldn't be happier, though I did put on some custom keycaps, and I think it felt like it was missing a few that I would have wanted as a Mac user, but that is such a minor nitpick that I still give this 5 stars.

Purchased as my first mechanical keyboard for ergonomic reasons. Overall a good split keyboard for keyboard beginners, would recommend.
Some notes:
- Does not come with a dedicated slot to carry the USB dongle.
- Switches at the split are a little hard to pull out because of the tight case, which is needed to be able to combine the two halves into a standard layout. Still manageable, though.
- Keyboard is a little heavy and inconvenient to move around in two parts.
- Battery lasts approx. 1wk (40h of use) on Bluetooth and at the lowest backlight level.
- The provided keycaps and switches (I got Linear Wisteria switches) generally feel good and on the "thonkier" side.

I always wanted to try a split keyboard due to shoulder pain.
But i wanted to still be able to type on a regular keyboard + be able to game easily - so a "fully ergonomic" keyboard was not an option for me.
Then i discovered "regular" keyboards that could be spilt in half, but when they were connected together - they still had some space between the two halfs...

THEN i saw split 65, qmk reprogrammable(VIA compatable), split keyboard without the space between the halfs, IT EVEN HAS A ****.
It contained everything i was looking for, so after reading some reviews - i decided that that keyboard is perfect for me.

I have used the keyboard for 60 days, and im fully satisfied so far. The flamingo switches are smooth, also i really love the default keykaps - it looks clean and unique.
